I feel like I have got a bit of childish enthusiasm today. This morning I decided to enjoy a tea party with my Barbie doll. At that time I didn’t have a dolly, but this was just a matter of going to a local charity shop, where I eventually purchased one just for £ 2. It’s quite a lovely creature, nicely dressed, even with earrings and a small “tattoo” on her lower back saying Mattel 🙂 I just gave my new toy a quick blow-dry-hair and refreshed her look with some new geek gadgets.
Bizarrely, over the last couple of days, I have been spotting in stores sort of kitschy, but cute kitchen and food inspired fashion accessories. I bought several of them, thinking of my fabulous friend Marta (by the way you will love her blog “Let’s get stupid together”) who is a great foodie and loves having fun because, as she says: “life is too short to be taken seriously.” So what I have got is: cutlery earrings, pineapple earrings, tea pot pendant and donut lip balm! They are all meant to make me feel like a chic kitchen queen but then I thought they would look gorgeous on my Barbie doll.
If you can’t resist having one of those yummy gizmos, run quickly to Accessorizes (cutlery earrings, tea pot pendant) and JoY stores (pineapple earrings, donut lip balm)!
